Three

Today was our three-year-old office visit with the pediatrician. Gracie is in the 75% percentile for height and 50-75% percentile for weight. Lauren is in the 50% percentile for height and in the 25-50% percentile for weight.

Shattered

Tonight I tripped a little as I was racing across the parking lot. My beloved iPhone flew out of my hand, up into the air, and crashed onto the asphalt -- screen down. The screen shattered and now resembles a very old and badly damaged windshield.

I, of course, realize that there is struggle, pain and suffering all over the world. Therefore, the hyperbole has been checked. But I am really bummed.

Rainy Sunday

After church today, we had lunch out, as an additional birthday treat. Then, we played with new toys and visited Grammy (& Lexy).

Here are the girls enjoying a little birthday cake after dinner:

Fall festival

Tonight we visited a fall festival.

We tried the bouncies. Lauren got all the way to the entrance before saying "no way," scrambling down and getting her shoes back on in record time (not unlike Superman in a phone booth). Gracie was brave enough to make it all the way inside, but would only stand at the entrance to jump:

Enjoying a nice fall night:

The best part of the evening came when they discovered a piece of playground equipment that had not been closed off for all of the other activities.

King, er, Queen of the world!

Errands

This morning, we ran a series of errands that included the local United States Post Office, Wal-Mart, preschool (because even though today is an off day for the girls, we picked up school portraits that were made a couple of weeks ago), Target and McDonald's. The highlights of the trip included selecting cupcakes to have at school tomorrow as a class celebration for the girls' birthday on 10/3 and, surpisingly, discovering that the Post Office now has suckers. Who says the Post Office isn't fun?
