Snow Day 2017

It's been a long time since we had a snow day, but it finally happened last week. Last Thursday was our town's annual Christmas parade, and Grace and Lauren's fifth grade class had a float in the parade. Their theme was "Let it Snow".

When snow was unexpectedly forecast, the theme took on a sense of urgency, and they were soooo excited about the prospect of seeing snow!

Unbelievably, everything aligned just perfectly for about three - four inches of snow throughout the day Friday. We had a wonderful time enjoying our snow day, visiting with neighbors, and playing with friends.

A little "snowball"

Pixie LOVES the snow. She completely tore through the yard, even when her bellow was caked with snow and ice. She couldn't get enough.

We had so much fun on this unexpected snow day.

We had lots of hot cocoa.

We made snow men.

We made chili.

We made snow cream.

We had snow ball fights.

We had fun.

We hope we get another snow day soon.
