Halloween 2019

William George was excited about Halloween this year, especially after going to a local Halloween shop for his costume (below) instead of Amazon or the aisles of Target. Lauren and Grace spearheaded the specialty shop, but then decided it was "creepy" and returned to Target. George, however, fell in love with a ninja costume and made friends with the owner who helped him find a matching sword.

While Ninja was his first choice, he wanted to save that special costume for Halloween night only. Accordingly, in the week-long list of Halloween festivities, George wore a police uniform (Cub Scouts Halloween party), and reprised his Harry Potter costume for school.

Lauren, Grace and some of their friends came up with a candy theme for school so they settled on something from Target that would work with that. We partnered with some friends and walked through the neighborhood for candy. Our neighborhood and a couple of streets around us have started going all out for Halloween which is GREAT for us because we just have to visit neighbors for tons of candy. We even had Grammie on hand to pass out while we were out, and that kept our candy from being emptied within the first 30 minutes. haha! Silly kids!

Sometimes neighborhoods can be hit or miss, and we are happy ours is busier now because otherwise I think the girls might be retiring from trick-or-treating.

Happy Halloween!
