Christmas Eve, 2013

On Christmas Eve we met up with my family to have lunch at my mom's.  Being with family was the best medicine for the holidays. I love them more than words can say.

The trio had fun at the kids' table.

And, of course, they received way too many presents. (Thanks! Y'all are much too generous!)

Afterward, we went to Skip's parents for dinner. We tried to capture the trio in front of the tree shot, but this was the best we could do.

We had a wonderful time, and the trio talked Gran and Poppa into opening one present as a preview.

We got home in time to launch into Santa preparations.  First, we decorated a gingerbread house.

Next, we left food for the reindeer.  The duo left oats and carrots, and William George brought out the extra Fruit Loops because who doesn't like Fruit Loops?

Finally, we quickly changed into pajamas, had a reading of 'Twas the Night Before Christmas and turned in just before hearing the first twinkling of bells from Santa's sleigh.  Lauren is a stickler for the rules, and she makes sure our house isn't overlooked if anyone is still up when Santa arrives.
