Fifth Grade Breakfast

Graduating fifth grade is a week long affair at Grace and Lauren's school. Their school is wonderful, and I begun saying that the only bad thing about it is that you have to leave.

Being K-5, the school feeds into two local middle schools, meaning friends get split into different groups. Our girls are pursuing a third option, and their group of five friends are transferring to four different schools. Their last week was tough and full of goodbyes.

They tried to focus on the celebrations, and I taught them George's kindergarten teacher's mantra:

Healthy things grow.

Fifth grade breakfast was a time for their teachers and principal to spend some time together and to say goodbye. This event was closed to parents, and they had a good opportunity to visit with one another.

We are going to miss these wonderful kids.
