School party

Today was the girls' Valentine's party at preschool. The girls had Disney Princess Valentine cards for the classroom, and we were in charge of the lunch entree (chicken nuggets) and juice. We made approximately 135 nuggets for the class of 22. Lauren really took ownership of the project and obviously felt like it was her duty to eat like an NFL football player (she ate a total of 9 nuggets -- her personal best).

As a very special treat, Skip spent his lunch hour stopping by the party, and he was a BIG HIT with all of the children. He got on the floor to read with Gracie, and he was swarmed by 21 other toddlers as well.

Waiting for party time:

Sitting in assigned seats:

Gracie's first order of business was to eat the icing on her cupcake:

Waiting patiently for another serving of chick-chick:

Gracie kicked off the reading session:

Everyone quickly jumped on the reading bandwagon:

We were in the classroom for less than an hour, but we both felt wiped out. I have no idea how those teachers manage that roomful of children all day, everyday. They clearly are saints.
