So last week was William George's birthday. He got to visit with family, got to eat cake for the first time, enjoyed several renditions of "Happy Birthday," and received presents!
He thinks the whole birthday thing is wonderful.
The afternoon of his birthday, he had a quick visit from Grammie who had previously promised to take Lauren and Gracie on an errand. She took them to a local "flea market" to buy furniture for their doll house, and they had the best time. Grammie said Gracie is a natural and looked completely at home at the "lee market," as they called it.
Since George's party was scheduled for Saturday, we had dinner and an obligatory cake.
The trio was very excited -- no one more so than Gracie, who loves herself a good party.
George smiled and laughed all the way through his "Happy Birthday" song.
And when the cake came into view, he became very interested.
Ahh yes, sweet sugar!
Needless to say, this cake was not around for long.
