4K Easter Party + Discovery Club Party

William George's class recently had its Easter party, and I got to visit with all of his table-mates and classroom friends. After hunting eggs, the class performed a couple of songs, and then they devoured (or at least George did) lunch.

After the party, George's energy reserve was depleted so we went home, snuggled and watched a few restorative episodes of Scooby Doo.

(Sorry for the jiggly footage... I was doing the song along with George. :)

In other party news, the girls attend Discovery Club, a Christian-based program, at school each week (Thursdays, after school). Lauren and Grace have loved this program this year, and the final meeting was held the Thursday before Easter. After the last lesson, the classes went to the lunchroom where the organizers had assembled a party. Since classroom parties are now limited to a couple each year, the girls were thrilled to have a chance to celebrate. Importantly, each class was presented with completion certificates, and the fifth grade students were awarded Bibles. During the course of this year, three students accepted Jesus, and one of those student's mother, father, sibling and grandparent all made faith decisions and were baptized. We are so grateful for this program, as it serves to further reinforce the girls' faith, and we are thankful to attend a school that has accepted the volunteers who share this important message.
