Easter Sunday 2016

We had a joyous Easter. The Easter bunny visited and brought lots of treats, and we had a breakfast feast.

I should mention a note of explanation on the Christmas pajamas. The Easter Bunny and Santa are friends, yes? That was the explanation I was given when pajama choices were made the night before.

We later picked up my mom and went to church. In a fortuitous turn of scheduling, Grace and Lauren served as Acolytes on Easter Sunday, and attending church and serving is better than anything the Easter Bunny could bring. They were honored, to say the least.

Because we were going out of town, we had lunch out. We normally hunt eggs, but we had a rainy Sunday this year. Fortunately we had squeezed in a quick egg hunt the day before. Because the egg hunt preceded Easter (and probably because the EB was hurried) the trio quickly realized there were no prize eggs. As William George succinctly put it, "The Easter Bunny's tricking us. There's no candy in here!"

Touché, George.

I suppose the Easter Bunny only delivers treat eggs on Easter... and when he has more time.

I hope you and yours had a wonderful Easter as well.
