Back on March 25th, Skip's dad, Ralph, celebrated his 75th birthday. We kept calling his celebration the following weekend his Diamond Jubilee, although that's off by 15 years, but it sort of stuck.
After a feast of steak, salmon and scallops, we celebrated with a dessert bar offering chocolate pie, caramel cake and chocolate chip pie. Basically, we ate like kings, as is befitting a birthday patriarch on his 75th.
The trio and their trio of cousins had a blast helping their Poppa ring in his new year.
We lounged...
And schooched...
And visited...
And caught up on everyone's exciting happenings... the duo had just completed their 5K, and we heard all about Will and Riley's play performances. Their school performed Mary Poppins, and they loved the experience.
This little Wild Man enjoyed the party immensely.
William George loves a party just as much as Grace.
Happy 75th to a wonderful father, a gracious and generous father-in-law and a fabulous and fun Poppa!
As a side note, Poppa is undergoing hip replacement surgery tomorrow. While we know he will do very well with the surgery, we would appreciate your prayers.
