Enumerated Update

Happy Monday, friends.  It's cold, a little rainy, and I'm running behind. How are things with you so far?

Otherwise, here's what's happening:

1) Oscars: My favorite highlights include:

A) U2's performance, a touching tribute to Nelson Mandela, was definitely the best three minutes of the show (for me at least).

B) Brad Pitt's clean appearance. Not only was he neatly groomed, but he might have actually showered for the ceremony. Oh, I kid.

C) Matthew McConaughey wins! Maybe it's because he's fellow southerner, but he's impossible not to like.

Alright, alright, alright.

D) Oh, and the clothes! My favorites were: Lupita Nyong'O, Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Jessica Biel, Anne Hathaway and Jennifer Lawrence.

2) Experience: One day many, many, many, MANY years from now, the duo will be considering spouses. We'll have a lot of qualities for them to consider. On down the list, I will encourage them to consider a guy with experience working in a grocery store as a first job because Skip is phenomenal at Costco. From arranging everything in the cart...to organizing how everything on the conveyor belt...to getting everything back in boxes and into the cart...loaded into the car and shelved at home, he is a logistics genius.

3) House of Cards: We watched the first season back in July. Season 2 premiered on Netflix on February 14th, and we immediately binged on the entire season. Y'all. It's sooooo good. We loved it so much we would have considered a video recap - but for the fact that the series is released all at once, obviating the opportunity for any post-episode discussion.

There was one scene we had to rewind three times to fully grasp what had just occurred. I certainly don't want to spoil any developments, but it's amazing. Ahh-mazing. Kevin Spacey is wicked good, and Robin Wright is cool as ice.

4) Posters: Skip found the below poster memorializing the footwear of Carrie Bradshaw, my favorite fictional character, and gave it to me for valentine's day. I plan to frame it and hang it in my closet.

But now there's another poster time-lining Dresses worn by "best actress" Oscar winners. Remember Gwyneth's dress?

It's a good thing I have limited display space. Otherwise, these prints could quickly get out of control.

5) Dr. Seuss: What would a list be without a nod to Seuss on his 100th birthday? Check out Seuss's hat collection here.

What's happening with you? Had you seen the films/performances honored at the Oscars?

Have a wonderful week.
