Tennis

Skip started back playing tennis at the beginning of the year, and the trio started taking lessons at the beginning of spring. We paused briefly on lessons during George's baseball season but resumed after his last game.

Grace and Lauren told a good friend from school about lessons, and he attended a few times, making lessons fun for them.

George has a friend from school who has been taking lessons for about a year, and he has had a few classmates come to tennis. We had no idea we have so many friends playing tennis.

A big appeal is that the these lessons are super low commitment, i.e., we show up on Friday afternoons, pay for each session, and when we are unable to go, we just let our instructor know (without paying for missed sessions). During a time when we were hesitant to add another structured activity, this easy-breezy approached worked perfectly.

Now that summer is here we are focusing on tennis more, and Skip uses the extra time to practice with the ball machine or work on his serve. (Did I mention Skip joined a tennis league a few months ago? He plays weekly.)

Basically, the whole family is loving it, while I am enjoying photographing them.

And George enjoys channeling Johnny Mc.
