Vacation, the village and July 4th celebration

As mentioned previously, Gracie recovered from her queasiness, changed clothing and hit the village. Lauren was an eager accomplice, and they enjoyed Snowshoe Village and its July 4th celebrations.

We walked around and looked at the shops. We explored the various properties, and we did our best to keep up with two three-and-a-half-year-olds who had been in the car for two days.

The fourth wouldn't be complete without a band, and this one was rather lively, especially for a blue grass band.

We had initially planned to stay through Thursday. However, we extended our stay through Saturday and relocated to this property Thursday morning. We were drawn to it because it was in the heart of the village, across the street from the village pool (more on that later), and because Skip fell in love with the "it's 5:00 somewhere" vibe he got at first sight.
