The Possibilities Are Endless

Although we are only at the start of our summer break, we have established a habit of walking through the neighborhood after dinner each night.  William George strolls through the neighborhood, and the girls run about wildly.  One night last week, we were anticipating some thunderstorms so I needed to complete a couple of storm readiness tasks, like move the furniture on the front porch.  Instead of our walk, the girls and George watched a video.  Watching a video is a rarity, especially in the summer when there is sunshine to enjoy, so Gracie's proclamation during the selection process was funny to me.

"We can watch Dora... or Max and Ruby... or Gigi... or Strawberry Shortcake!  When mommy is busy, we can watch whatever we want!!!"

Doesn't that conjure up images of me flipping through magazines while all three children are parked in front of the television?  But then she indicted her grandparents as well.

"When we're at Poppa and Gran's, we can do whatever we want!  WHATEVER we WANT!"

Disclaimer:  She is delusional on both points, but I let her enjoy her moment.
