WGL, 10 Months

Dear William George,

You turned 10 months old back on May 12th, and you continue to grow and thrive.  You are enjoying your vegetables (carrots, squash and green beans), and we keep trying to introduce a new item here and there.  The food and allergy business does not slow you down at all.  You are crawling everywhere, are into everything and are standing all the time.  You cruise about the coffee tables and furniture, and being on your feet is your preferred position.

You finally got your bottom tooth, and its neighbor appeared two days later.  Then, your top teeth appeared.  Your four front teeth finally all arrived within a 10 day span.  We love your new smile!

You have developed two obsessions.  First, you love the dishwasher.  I had forgotten about the girls being obsessed with this appliance, and now you are, too.  You can be anywhere in the house, but when you hear the sounds of dishes being cleared, you charge for the kitchen.  When your Dad had his back turned for literally a second one night, he caught you standing on the opened dishwasher door and hanging on to the top rack.  (Please don't develop a passion for climbing.)  You like to clang the china together on the bottom rack, and the silverware tray on the door is music to your ears.  Next, your favorite toys are balls.  You like old fashioned playground balls the best, and you will play catch (rolling the ball back and forth) for long stretches of time.  You also like all the Nerf balls we have, tennis balls, softballs, etc.  You laugh whenever Skip hits a tennis ball.  The other day your Dad was showing your sisters how to hold and swing the racquet, and you stood up and held up your arm to have your turn, too.  You are increasingly assertive and have a lot of initiative.

You are very social and talk all the time.  You continue to say "momma," "da-da," "'acie,'" and "LuLu".  You have added "light," "fan" and "night-night" to your vocabulary.

You continue to be a happy baby, and you bring us so much joy. You love to laugh with your sisters, and they love to hear you cackle in response to something funny they do for you. You are their favorite audience.

We love you, little man!
