Weekend Update

Fresh from the salon for Thanksgiving

I don't know about you guys, but we are a little in shock that Thanksgiving week has arrived. Accordingly, we tried to tackle a few things this weekend to prepare for the upcoming busyness.

First, the trio had a tennis lesson Friday after after school. Afterward, we had a nice dinner and watched Christmas Vacation. We spent most of Saturday putting up the tree and decorating the house. We paused to watch a little football, but other than that we were pretty busy checking things off our holiday to-do list.

The highlight of our weekend was watching Grace and Lauren serve as acolytes Sunday morning.
Afterward, they visited grandparents while Skip and I had lunch (Saw's) and ran some errands. Sunday night was so nice, what with it not being a school night and all. The fam watched football while I worked on Christmas card labels. We have a friend who sends cards out early each year; in fact, her card is always the first card received. This year I borrowed a page out of her playbook by ordered cards early (they arrived on October 30th!).

Tree? Check.
Decorations? Check.
Christmas cards? Check.

Ok, I won't mail them until after Thanksgiving, but they are totally ready.

How about you? Are you savoring Thanksgiving, or are you getting a jump start on the season at large?
