By Christmas Eve, everyone was super ready for Santa. Our elf, Zippy, brought each of us an ornament, and we said a final goodbye - til next year.
We left out food for the reindeer.
We left out cookies for Santa and syrup for Zippy.
Everyone pushed the "Santa Stop" ornament, signaling that we are ready for presents.
We got settled in bed for a reading of "Twas the Night Before Christmas" as well as the story of Jesus' birth. Lauren reminded George that Santa will not come unless everyone is asleep.
Before too long, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
