Weekend Update

The countdown is on. William George has three official days left, with a year-end party on Friday, and Grace and Lauren officially have nine days remaining. It is so on.

They have a busy couple of weeks.

However, quickly, we had a fun weekend. Grammie came over Friday night for dinner and spent the weekend with us. Saturday morning, the duo, Gran and I headed to the theatre for the girls' ballet recital. Afterward, we had lunch and got William George ready for his last baseball game. His season went by so fast, and he has really enjoyed the game. During his final game, he did great, scoring two runs and hitting a coach pitch. Also, Gran and Poppa got to attend and see him make his killer plays.

The duo had a wonderful recital (update soon) Saturday night. We went to church Sunday, and we spent the afternoon completing the deck staining project. Why, oh why, did we build such a large deck?! Unfortunately, Skip is contemplating a second coat.

While we were working, Lauren took the opportunity to make a birthday wish list (above). We are waiting for the right time to point out the following:

1) She used Grace's stationery and did not sign her name. This could easily be mistaken for Grace's list. A prankster might use this opportunity to gift Grace with these items.

2) Her birthday is five months away.

3) Our make-up stance isn't really open for "full make-up" at ages 9/10.

4) Shoes -- fancy shoes, to be exact -- are staples. Well done.

Happy Monday, friends.
