Both Gracie and Lauren were big, big, BIG fans of the binky. George, on the other hand, prefers his index finger. He had his finger in his mouth immediately after birth, and per the sonogram pics I am sure the finger sucking began in utero.
Gracie is unable/unwilling to accept George's preference and tries to insert his binky whenever he cries, whimpers or shows any sign of displeasure/distress. George immediately spits the binky out, but Gracie will not be deterred. Finally, when George's frustration has escalated to crying, she will place the binky beside him and walk away, as if to say, "My job here is done."
