Opening Day of Softball 2013

Saturday was opening day for our softball season. The duo marched through the spirit line with their team while William George and I, along with all of the other parents and families, cheered.

After the opening ceremony, we met up with some friends and hung out.  William George got an impromptu batting lesson from Mr. Jerry.

After the duo spent an hour with the inflatable bounce houses, their game was ready to start.  William George, on the other hand, found a nearby hill and proceeded to run up and down the hill for a solid hour.

Since the duo are two of the oldest members on the team this year, they are trying to take their game to a new level.

They are hitting the ball harder and running much faster, thanks to their many laps in PE each week.

We still need to work on hitting "coach pitches," but we're increasingly making contact.

Gracie hasn't yet realized that her long legs give her an advantage and the ability to be the fastest person on the team.  She's currently second only to Lauren (with her deer-like run).

The trio are going to enjoy this season.
